ASSISTANT WEB PRESS OPERATOR

Marquis is looking for a French-speaking Assistant Web Press Operator for its Louiseville site.

• Salary: Between $22.70/h and $28.41/h
• Bonus: $2/h night shift premium
• Status: 3 x 12-hour night shifts
• Shifts: Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday (rotating once a month), then Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASSISTANT WEB PRESS OPERATOR:

• Manually or mechanically transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment within the plant
• Prepare and load paper rolls
• Install printing plates on the press
• Inspect materials and finished products before, during, and after printing
• Feed the press with paper and ink
• Assist the press operator with setup and necessary adjustments
• Monitor print quality in collaboration with the press operator
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment
• Carry out any other related tasks as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS FOR THE ASSISTANT WEB PRESS OPERATOR:

• 2 years of experience in printing
• Experience with TIMSON presses (an asset)
• Ability to distinguish colors accurately
• Mechanical aptitude
• Analytical mindset
• Good knowledge of pulp and paper
• Strong physical capability
• Ability to work under pressure
• Teamwork skills
• Attention to detail
• Autonomy
• Must speak French
